PASS GLOBAL Pty Ltd trading as ALTEC College is a Registered Training Organisation offering an extensive range of nationally accredited courses from Certificate to Advanced Diploma Level. ALTEC College trains in a wide range of disciplines including IT, Business, Management, Marketing, Accounting & Finance, Hospitality.
The purpose of this position is to manage enquiries and applications for prospective students and to support the Director - Marketing with their marketing plans. The role will include managing and assessing student applications, receiving visitors, liaison with overseas agents, administrative support and participating in student recruitment activities in Australia. Reporting to the Director - Marketing, the position requires an enthusiastic, well-organised and flexible person with a friendly, professional manner who has the ability to develop a rapport with people from a range of countries and cultural backgrounds.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The following examples of accountabilities are not exhaustive and may include others as directed from time-to-time.
Customer Service
· Respond to international students, agents and partners in a professional and timely manner in matters related to admission of international students.
· Conduct follow up correspondence with applicants, agents and partners to ensure their needs are met.
· Assist with the organization of international student events on campus, e.g. orientation.
Administrative Duties
· Work with the team of Admissions officer(s)/Coordinator(s)
· Maintain the integrity of the international student admission records on the Student Management System (WISENET).
· Maintain the Overseas Student Health Cover schedule and liaise with the OSHC provider to ensure students have health cover from arrival in Australia until completion of their course.
· Process applications and generate the Leeter of Offers/Agreements
· Create Confirmation of Enrolments using PRISMS database.
Liaison and Communication
· Liaison with the internal staff across the organisation
· Liaise and develop sound working relations with students, agents, partners and faculties and schools and other relevant sections of the college on international student admission matters.
· Produce independent written correspondence and documentation associated with the admissions process.
Decision-making
· Assess international education qualifications to determine eligibility for programs and check authenticity of qualifications.
· Issue letters of offer according to ALTEC College's processes and policies
· Process acceptances and issue Confirmation of Enrolments (CoEs) in compliance with ALTEC College's policy and procedures and the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act, The National Code, and the Australian Immigration Office's student visa program.
Knowledge and proficiency
· Provide advice and information to applicants, agents, partners, faculty and other staff of the College, and external agencies, about eligibility of foreign qualifications, admissions requirements and procedures, visas, support services of the college, among others.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the ESOS Act, The National Code, and CRICOS registration requirements, as well as ALTEC College's policies and procedures relevant to international students
Key Selection Criteria
1. A qualification relevant to the role at a diploma or degree level and/or vocational training would be highly desirable.
2. Demonstrated work experience in a similar role and specific work experience and knowledge of international education including some of the current challenges and key trends.
3. High level interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) within a culturally diverse education community or similar environment.
4. Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to prioritise competing demands and tasks in order to meet deadlines
5. The ability to positively contribute and work within a team environment in addition to working independently.
6. A capacity for self-motivation, to lead and work effectively as a team member and to contribute to the organisational development of the College.
7. Well-developed keyboard skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Applications with the ability to learn new systems.
8. Ability to problem solve, negotiate and analyse issues within the scope of this position.
9. An interest in and desire to contribute to the educational vision, values and planning and strategies of the College.
10. An understanding of and commitment to compliance of Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
Desirable Selection Competencies
1. Knowledge and understanding of the legislative environment of international education including PRISMS, CRICOS, The National Code and the ESOS Act.
2. Experience in international education in Australia.
3. Fluency in a language other than English.
